Solar activity was very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
The solar kp index is quiet, with no changes to retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is currently above average, making retrograde effects moderately increased.
There are no planets in retrograde!
The Solar System at a Glance
Solar wind parameters reflected a likely, intermittent connection to the southern crown, -CH HSS. Total field values were 3-8 nT. Bz was predominantly southward, with maximum deflection to -7 nT. Wind speeds increased from ~415 km/s to ~505 km/s. Phi was predominantly in a negative solar sector, with isolated oscillations into the positive sector, mainly at the end of the period.
There is a 25% chance of solar activity, with a 1% chance of a minor event, a 1% chance of a moderate event, and a 1% chance of a strong event.
