Solar activity was very low. There were no sunspots. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in coronagraph imagery.
The solar kp index is quiet, with no changes to retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is currently normal.
There are no planets in retrograde!
The Solar System at a Glance
The solar wind environment was somewhat enhanced as a result of lingering CH HSS (negative polarity) effects. Field strength peaked at 8 nT for the day, and Bz was unremarkable. Solar wind speeds fluctuated between 325 and 375 km/s. Phi was oriented in a negative solar sector.
There is a 15% chance of solar activity, with a 1% chance of a minor event, a 1% chance of a moderate event, and a 1% chance of a strong event.
