Region 3414 (N10W22, Dao/beta) continued to undergo evolution as it exhibited overall growth while producing a C9 flare at 12/0338 UTC, and a C8 flare at 12/1342 UTC which were the largest of the period. Region 3518 (N13E75, Hsx/alpha) was identified and numbered this period, but was quiet. The remaining active regions were quiet and otherwise unremarkable as well.
The solar kp index is quiet, with no changes to retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is very high, making retrograde effects extremely increased!
Solar wind parameters were slightly enhanced this period under likely periphery-like influences from the 08 Dec filament eruption and tenuous positive polarity CH HSS connection.
