Solar activity was very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
The solar kp index is quiet, with no changes to retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is currently above average, making retrograde effects moderately increased.
There are no planets in retrograde!
The Solar System at a Glance
Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, reflected mostly nominal conditions. Total magnetic field strength was at 6 nT or below. The Bz component primarily southward and reached as far south as -5 nT. Solar wind speeds were between ~375-450 km/s. The phi angle was variable.
There is a 45% chance of solar activity, with a 30% chance of a minor event, a 5% chance of a moderate event, and a 1% chance of a strong event.
